F2 is proud to enter the race-world with a complete new race-board. The F2 Lightning is built for kiters who like to sail competition. The board was designed at the Woody Cookie studio and belongs to the fourth generation of course race boards.

The main focus by developing the board lied on aspects of an optimal control. The board has very comfortable balance characteristics which provide the racer to focus on the circumstances of the course and the weather.

The board not only has the most modern shape, but also all the common race features. Fin box placement, outline, foot-strap positions are all approved. A new and exclusive feature of this board is the double tucked rail. This rail shape keeps the deck free from water. The strong concave nose-deck provides a down-force wind-stream on the nose. This keeps the board flat on the water by high-wind conditions. The tail is dome-shaped for a comfortable stance and optimum control for jibbing.
The foot-straps have a double insert position, so riders can find the perfect stance, whether they are tall or small. Forward-inside for comfort and backward and outside for race-performance. The Lightning fits in the Box Rules from the smallest sailing class from the ISAF and is approved by the IKA Production Class Rules.

The F2 Lightning is a high-end kite-raceboard that is built like the windsurf-raceboards from F2. All the 30 years of board building experience and knowledge flew into the construction of this board. Like all the high-end surfboards from F2, this board was also built in the world’s best factory: Cobra, Thailand!

All boards of the 2012 series refer to a complete new board concept and are equipped with the latest shapes. Together with our board forge the „High Tech Sports Goods Gmbh“ (HTSG) in Schleiz, which is part of our group, a product range has been developed which meets all expectations of a complete collection. In addition to our traditional lightwind board we brought up a further board, which features freestyle properties with lightwind abilities. All in all, the new F2 Kite range is an absolut successful collection with a lot of variety, so that beginners, old-schoolers, wakestylers, racers and also wave-cracks get their money‘s worth.

A sophisticated range of strap-pads combinations, such as our range in different sizes, combined with our F2 Carbon Bar, round out the fitting program.

Coretex.9000 / Rugged Core

 

By using our unique, lightweight and extremely impact-resistant scrim Coretex.9000 it now is possible to develop completely new board concepts. The directly printable, durable material which has a very balanced flex, is proven in several tests to have a high UV resistance, high abrasion resistance and is, due to a our patented coating extremely scratch resistant. The new Coretex.9000 comes with the label „Made in Germany“.

Coretex.9000 combines high-end sandwich constructions with our light-weight hydrophobic RuggedCore, we have developed in close collaboration with the Technical University of Chemnitz. This new concept ensures better comfort and dynamic driving characteristics, from beginner to advanced riders.
